Artificial leather is marketed under many names including leatherette faux leather vegan. Blended leather also called bonded leather or reconstituted leather is manufactured furniture upholstery comprised of a layering of leather a fiber or paper backing and binding materials. It is finished with a polyurethane coat and embossed with a grain texture that closely mimics leather. Leather ipad covers cost 69 and are available in cream tan black navy blue and red.

Bi cast leather may use a split leather base which is then covered with a pvc or pu layer. Artificial leather also called synthetic leather is a material intended to substitute for leather in upholstery clothing footwear and other uses where a leather like finish is desired but the actual material is cost prohibitive or unsuitable. It differs from bicast leather which is made from solid. Blended leather is a material that contains ground pulverized shredded reconstituted or bonded leather and is not wholly the hide of an animal and should not be represented as 100 leather.

Pu leather might be combined with real leather in a form called bi cast leather.
